So you've been writing poetry for a while now, and some of your work is looking good. Publishable-good, you think — but how does a poet go about getting published for the first time? As someone who has worked through this recently, I know it can be boggling, even frustrating. Of course, it can also be fun and fulfilling. The difference is a matter of knowing what you're doing. I'm going to share what I've learned in getting my poetry published for the first time, so you can cut straight to the fun parts.
