Lavender mountains clustering in my grace

Arctic bells bowing before me

Balsam fir humbling in my presence

Eagles leading me north.

Wailing across snowy plains

Riding the polar bear

Ripping through a fissure in a glacier

Winding past icy chambers

Soaring over jagged peaks

Howling to the lifeless world.

Blue Baby
By Whitney Brennan

In the blue;
waters weave an intertwining braid of liquid fibres,
sewn from the thread of a fraying world.
The last frontier of an iron planet

Unseen by our polluted eyes
the ocean remains silent,
unable to speak without throwing a tantrum;
the only way to get our attention.

Shadowless by Jenny Smart

Shadowless

Every night is cloudy in the city.
Shielded from the sky
we make our own light by burning.

reflecting on the bitter snow
that’s real
until it hits the ground.

Somehow sunless days seem brighter,
you can see still when the night falls.
How happy we all are

In a world of uncertainty, I listened to all around
From the whispers of the wind and the laughter of a child
I could hear a gentle song forming from the lives that smiled
While in a bed of leaves, the sun danced on my skin
The rays gently moving as if a silent violin
