In this Issue: Family

Having celebrated Mother's Day in May and Father's Day in June, readers were asked to reflect on their family situations and and relationships for the summer issue of Re:verse, and send poems that expressed the emotion and variation within their families. The works received were inspiring, exciting, challenging and unique.

Rose Behar's Shoddy Dental Floss paints the portrait of a family in a precarious transitional period. How can maintain our "togetherness" when we're no longer living together?

In Family Matters Joseph Halpern reflects on the frustrations and tensions that can develop within families. The poem illustrates specific moments of tension though, and not a continuously angry attitude toward family members.

Christine Lee offers interesting insight into the ups and downs of familial relations in Regret, illustrating the often rapid resolution of conflict within families.

Tosh Millerfrancis submitted Unwatered Seeds outside of the "Family" theme of this issue. In this inspiring work, the author reflects on the growth of "unwatered seeds," and the nurturing kindness required for their development.

Enjoy the sunshine, and enjoy the issue.
