The place for young poets and their teachers.
As a society we continue to change: politically, ecologically, culturally and economically. This Spring, young poets and their teachers are encouraged to submit poetry related to these topics: how changing climates affect you, your community and the larger communities of Canada... and the world. Each day becomes a defining moment in our history. Do Climate Changes inspire you to write, to express your passion and compassion? Does change necessarily mean progress?
Young Poets week will take place April 12-16, so check back for climate/poetry-related news and events.
The Poetic License Contest for youth has closed. Please visit us in March to view the winning submissions!

For the past couple of months, the Teacher's Lounge has been filling up with great new articles on performing your poetry, haiku writing, concrete imagery, teaching rhythm and inspiring young writers. Check out the Teacher's Lounge to read these great articles and lesson plans.
